Grace Sterling Stowell

Grace Sterling Stowell has been a pioneering activist and leader in the LGBTQ, youth, and social justice communities for nearly 50 years. An early member of the Boston Alliance of LGBTQ Youth (BAGLY), she became its executive director and grew the organization from a local volunteer-led project to a statewide non-profit. Born and raised in Massachusetts, Stowell is the longest-serving transgender executive director in the nation.
