Frieda Garcia
Beloved Community Activist
Frieda Garcia is a highly celebrated community activist and organizer who has shaped the social, civic, educational, and organizational landscape of Boston, particularly the South End and Roxbury neighborhoods. Since the 1960s, she has advocated for educational opportunities and economic justice for Boston’s Latinx and Black communities.
